Medusa is the ultimate truth, the female mysteries, the Mistress of the Beasts. She represents forbidden yet liberating wisdom. She was worshipped by the Libyan Amazons as their Serpent Goddess. Blood from her right vein heals and nourishes, blood from her left, kills. It was inscribed that no one dared look beneath her veil or risk seeing the mirror to one's own death. Electric violin playing rocker and creator of CHIX 6, Lourds Lane, will once again be hosting the Medusa Festival, a night she created to celebrate the most electrifying female-fronted bands in NYC. The potency and stage presence of all the Medusa frontwomen are indicative of the fierce strength of the Goddess herself. Every year, Medusa Festival is packed all night long with die-hard Medusa fans -- girls and boys of all ages -- who come early and rock out hard to the Medusers until the very last note. On Friday, June 26, this sixth installment of MEDUSA FESTIVAL, will be a CD RELEASE PARTY for CHIX 6, the all female rock musical written by Lourds Lane.
